I received the edge guide for my router. I attempted to make a mortise in a scrap or 2×4. It proved harder than expected to stay within the lines while balancing the router in the board and the result is subpar and a little scandalous looking.
The second time around was much better. I clamped a second board to the first to provide more of a platform to rout on.
This makes me think I need to build me one of these mortising jigs like this one.
